Made weak by time and fate,
but strong in will;
To seek, to strive, to find, and not to yield.

Side Note:
The fork. or Also known as "A Dingle-hopper" Reminds me of one who not only had amazing hair (that I would pretend I had as I swam in our pool as a young girl) but also for me represents a young woman who loved learning about everything and anything. Who pushed past barriers and boundaries to find her place in this world. In this industry education is key and you are always always learning. Everyday! And with that requires perseverance to reach goals. The industry of beauty is all about testing, pushing and surpassing barriers and boundaries. This industry is truly SWEET!!!!

Something very interesting

I get many many inquiries a day asking about how to combat hair loss.  (Dang hormones and stres)!
These two things seem to be the biggest factor in hair loss that many of us women and men see.
I was chatting with a retail client at Ulta the other day and asked if we carried Bee Propolis.
What?!?!?!  She said that when she uses it her hair is amazing and that her friend who had been thinning saw regrowth in two months! Holy Cow this sounds amazing. So I read up a little on it. Here's the link that I thought had the most info.
http://www.ihealthdirectory.com/bee-propolis/
Check it out. I think I'll be giving it a try soon just to see what it does to my hair.
I have to hunt it out but there is a shampoo and conditioner system.  Maybe like the one pictured below. There are also suppliments.
I have PCOS ( poly-cystic ovarian syndrome) and one of the effects is male patterned baldness.
Thankfully I haven't seen any of this yet but shoot, If I can fortify and protect my hair, I'm down.
As soon I get my hands on some I'll let ya'll know and keep track of my results.
Love you all and hope your Black friday is as sweet as rich deep hot chocolate from Starbucks. ( My fav!)

Change

I don't know about you guys but change, good or not so good, is always hard for me to cope with.
There is some big change coming.   After this week, I will no longer be a stylist at Ulta. ;(    sad yes, but necessary.   I am on the hunt for something more.  More education, more experience and more money as I'm the only income right now and my hubs would love to go to school full time and not have to worry about how we're paying the bills.   With this change I want to remind all you wonderful peeps ( friends and family ) that I still will have time each week at home to give your hair some sweetness.   As of right now the best way to contact me is to text.  And on that note : I'm also on the hunt for a new phone that doesn't require a data plan.  If you have one that you don't need, text me, we'll do a trade!
Let me leave ya with a little hair fun too!
Tis The SEASON for RED!!!!

I love love love this hue.  Maybe someday I can get my hubs to get on the red hair band wagon.  It's so magical and fanstastic.  Love you all and have a Happy Thanksgiving!

TA DA!!!!!!!

I did it! I chopped my hair yet again. Mind you it wasn't like the big locks of love chop I did 5yrs ago but a chop non the less. I tend to do things to my hair when I'm stressed, upset or "dealing".  With so much going on ( me working now full time, Bran going to school in the spring, the cleaning and groceries and meals and school and lets not forget..the kids...and all the other things us moms and women do)  I didn't need to be worrying over or trying to accomplish another thing, including growing my hair out to be as Tessa says, " Mermaid hair".   It feels so much better.  All my dry ends are gone and it's going to be easy to style, straight, curly, messy, bed head... whatever.  Now if I only can get my little duck tail in the back to behave! see that little flip in the top pick. Ya! Quack quack.   LOL.  Nothing like a good cowlick or swirl I always say!  I'm thinking the best way to control it is to let my layers keep growing out. They'll cover it soon enough and weigh it down.
Hey why don't you give your hair some sugar!!!!
It's Goooood!
P.S. Cut was done by my wonderfully talented friend Mandy Stewart. Known her since highschool, since crosspoint ward, and now she's in my neighborhood! I love her!

falling in love

So my new guest tonight at Ulta (sweet fun Agnes) came in with this pic and a pic similar to this one:
She loved the idea of the length but was nervous about it. After taking into acct her face shape and what she was thinking,  I reassured her that the cut would be great for her.  So snip snip. almost 10 inches came off.  And 10 yrs! She has this gorgeous rich dark blonde color and it's major thick and blow dries perfectly with a round brush. We kept the bang and added a balyage highlight technique (one of our goodies we offer with our roll out of fall and winter trends)  and face framing fringe.  I was perfect!
She said so.  As a stylist there is nothing better than these words " I love it, It's perfect!"
Oh I fell in love with hair all over with this one. I love giving people positive image boosting change.  I wanted her hair when I was done with it.
Sending out lots of LOVE!

I am in love with this short look.  Even with the shaved undercut side!
If I ever decide to do this cut (which I am seriously thinking about)  I'd keep my light side ( with no undercut but defiantly cut it shorter than the heavy side.  And I'd keep a lot of top length so I can curl, straighten, and scrunch.  What new cuts are you in love with but hesitant, (like me) to do?  I'm hesitant because let's be honest; I'm trying to grow out my hair long again (mermaid hair my daughter calls it) But man, It's so stinking hot in good ol Arizona. And how fun and trendy is this short cut!  It's a self confidence thing I think........ we'll see. If I do it, I'll be posting the jump!  You all make sure to call me if any of you girls want to take the leap and try a new style! ♥ SugarJane

Ok all it's been so long I know!!! I am still trying to figure out the whole picture thing and I am officially camera-less so it's hard to show ya what I'm up to.  But the newest thing I'm so excited for is in the little button to the left  "I am a master Designer"  It's basically a group of us who have trades and hobbies that allow us to add beauty to those around us and too the world. Check it out and if you are a master designer, you can add to our blog roll!!!
Also, those of you who are close to me (queen Creek, Gilbert and such)  School getting ready to start! Give me a call to give some sweetness to you're family as we all get ready to go back to school!
Sugar and Spice and everything nice!
